After the Burial – Sänger Nick steigt aus

After much deliberation I have decided to part ways with After the Burial. I love these guys and this decision is not personal in the least. We all need to do what makes us happy in life and touring extensively for a living is not the life I want. I don’t want to hold them back so it’s best I get out while I still can. I want to be here in the TC with my family and friends, and play music here. I will be doing the last few shows we have listed:

6.15- Duluth @ The Knockout
6.28- Milwaukee @ Robot Mosh Fest
7.7- Rice Lake WI @ Project Skate
and one last hometown show tba in july!

I will be continuing on drums in the Harlan and I will be starting a new hardcore project doing vocals, think With Honor, Sinking Ships, Comeback Kid.
I will miss all of my out of town friends that I have made along the way, but I will see you when you come through the twin cities. For all you midwest folk, we have these last few shows, so let’s make them count! Twin Cities kids, watch out for the new project, stage dives and pile ons up your ass, let’s make something amazing together. Please keep an eye and ear open for my last hometown show, I hope to see you all there!

love nick

Although this bums us out, as Nick was and will continue to be a close friend of everybody in the band, this hold up is only temporary. We’re going to be continuing on with After The Burial in full force, with even more drive and momentum than ever. This is a very pivotal time in the career of this band, and we’re in it for the long haul.

We’ll be holding selected auditions for those who feel they are suited and driven enough to fill the position of vocalist. We have chosen some criteria for the auditions:

– Age 20-28
– MUST have previous vocal experience
– MUST have previous touring experience
– MUST have GREAT stage presence and charisma
– Be able to perform songs, appropriate vocal ranges and all
– Live in or near the Twin Cities (MN), or be willing to relocate
– Have a secure financial situation
– Be able to legally drive in the US (clean driving record preferred)
– Have an understanding and a passion for the music we play and listen to

We ask that anybody interested in trying out for the band learn and be able to perform the songs A Steady Decline, The Forfeit, and Fingers Like Daggers from our album Forging A Future Self.

To set-up an audition, please e-mail aftertheburial@yahoo.com with some info about yourself. Links to any recordings of past or current projects that showcase your talents are a plus. Serious inquiries only please.

well, see ya later
